Harbor Sport Aviation has been the Midwest RANS dealer since 1995. Ken Smith, dealer, offers a complete line of building, support services, sales and parts, flight testing, technical assistance and evaluation of planes for his customers. His specialty is float installation on the RANS aircraft as well as other aircraft. Ken has completed numerous combinations of floats and aircraft with his focus being on the S-6 and S-7. He thinks these seaplanes out-perform many certificated models and are much less expensive to own and operate than their conventional counterparts.

Ken has several Czech amphibious floats for sale and also offers the mounting kits for the S-6 and S-7 for these floats. Also available is the water rudder rigging and electric hydraulic and pneumatic retract systems.

Ken Smith of Door County, Wisconsin is a licenced pilot since1973 and has enjoyed various types of planes from Mooney to Kolb. He is a CFI experienced in seaplane operations and tailwheel transitions. He can help new pilots as well as seasoned flyers to experience "fun flying" with the freedom the float plane can offer. He works with his customers to make sure that the planes are properly rigged with systems functioning as required and making sure that the pilot is comfortable, competant and happy with their new plane.
