Ken Smith has been flying since 1973, and has built several aircraft , and been an instructor (CFI ses, sel, and glider), and an Ultralight instructor since the early 80s. He has accumulated thousand of hours on LSA type wheeled and float equipped aircraft, and can help transition pilots to LSA type aircraft, to float flying, tailwheel instruction and endorsements, as well as you conventional CFI needs. (he can even help you with Paraglider instruction, should you need!) He has designed and built many float mount components, as well as amphibious wheel designs for both rigid and inflatable type floats. Glider, float plane, tail instruction available.
Tom Bauer has been "on board" for a many years now, and is a craftsman extraordinaire in wood, metal and composite construction. Tom has a back round in composite "Flaircraft" for Peterson Ship Building, being lead man for five of the craft.
Tom is an innovative design person for our amphibious gear construction, as well as a first class painter of airplanes.
